SCATTERED DENIAL: THE OCCUPATIONAL DANGERS OF RADIATION is a 6-part docuseries exploring the occupational hazards that cardiovascular interventionalists and their teams face from prolonged radiation exposure in cardiac catheterization laboratories. While some cardiologists have begun sounding the alarm about these risks, the problem is still widely underappreciated in the medical community and is virtually unheard of among patients and laypeople. Few people recognize that the cardiologists who are working to stem the tide of the world’s leading cause of death put themselves at immense risk to do so, often compromising their physical quality of life and risking death.
